Link Exchange Help
Step 1:
Choose which type of exchange you wish to join. Click the "Join!" link next to this exchange.
Step 2:
If you are joining the Hotties Exchange, you need to check the "Join" and "Activate" boxes on the next screen. This will register you into the database. Your Teen Hotties picture will be displayed. This is the picture that will show up on the Hotties Exchange. If you wish to change your picture, click the link below your picture. If you don't have a picture on Teen Hotties, you will not be able to use credit to show your picture on other people's sites. You can still put the Hotties Exchange on your page.
If you are joining the Standard Link Exchange, check the "Join" and "Activate" boxes next to the size of the banner you wish to exchange. Each sized banner is tracked for credits and hits separately. You must provide the URL of your banner (one that is the proper size, of course) and a URL of where you'd like users to go when they click your banner.
Step 3:
After joining, there will be a separate link under each exchange you have joined. This "Click here for your code" link will open up a page with the exact code you need to put the Link Exchange on your site. Cut and paste the code directly into the HTML source of your webpage. You are now a member of the Link Exchange.
About credits:
The link exchange runs on a system of credits. Every time a banner or hottie is viewed on your site, you will earn 4 credits. It costs 5 credits to display your banner or picture on another site (this will be done automatically once you have enough). So, every 5 times your page is viewed, your banner/picture will displayed 4 times. You can see how many hits and credits you have, and how many times your banner/picture has been viewed on other pages, on the "Configure" screen. After you have joined a link exchange, you can access this screen by clicking the "Configure" link on the front page of The Link Exchange.
Deletion and Inactivation:
If you would like to temporarily inactivate your banner or picture, simply uncheck the "Active" box in the configure screen and submit. Doing so will prevent other users from seeing your banner or picture. You will retain all the hits, credits, and views that you have earned. If you uncheck the "Join" box and submit, you will be permanently deleted from our database. All credits will be lost. You are free to join again at a later date if you wish.
